The course takes the perspective of the general manager of a company or business unit. We start with how to define a strategy and go on to examine how to evaluate it, paying particular attention to sustainable competitive advantage and internal and external alignment. The concepts are applied to both mature companies and entrepreneurial ventures. The course leans heavily on the use of vignettes and cases.
