Catalog description

Hematopoiesis is the formation, development, and differentiation of blood cells. Lecture and journal club. Topics will include definitive and adult hematopoiesis, myeloid and lymphoid development, hematopoietic diseases, stem cell niche, bone marrow transplant, and methods and models used to study hematopoiesis. For upper level undergraduates or graduate students. Prerequisite for undergraduates: Biology or Human Biology core, or consent of instructor. Course will be offered every other year, next offering will be Winter 2026/27.
