Catalog description

We will explore the biology of Down Syndrome (DS) with a focus on the neurobiology of learning and memory. We will get to know individuals with DS. We will reinforce our knowledge of physiology at the freshman-sophomore level with the purpose of identifying the important concepts relevant to health. In workshops, we will develop teaching tools for promoting physiology education at the post-secondary level for individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities such as DS.
