Catalog description

PWR 2 courses focus on developing strategies for presenting research-based arguments in both written and oral/multimedia genres. This course takes as its theme satire and how and when people seek social justice by "talking back." We'll explore the characteristics of effective satire, from the mechanics of irony to rhetorical moves typical of the genre.
