Catalog description

PWR 1 courses focus on developing writing and revision strategies for rhetorical analysis and research-based arguments that draw on multiple sources. In this course we will examine the social, political, and technological forces that shape language use. We will ask how ideologies influence which languages and varieties are valued and how technology may reproduce linguistic biases or flatten linguistic diversity.
