Catalog description

This seminar provides a selective overview of the scientific study of emotion development. Topics include: theoretical and historical foundations of emotion development in infancy and childhood; the emergence of emotion regulation; and the roles of individual differences, adversity, and culture in shaping emotional development. Our focus is on interesting, experimentally tractable ideas. Meetings will be discussion based. Instructor permission required.
