Foundations of Clinical Pharmacology

Catalog description

Introduces learners to the core principles that underpin the safe and effective use of medications in clinical practice. This course provides a framework for understanding how drugs work, how they are selected, and how they are applied across a wide range of patient care settings. Emphasis is placed on fundamental concepts such as pharmacologic mechanisms, drug interactions, and factors that influence medication safety. Foundational drug classes commonly encountered in clinical care are used to illustrate key principles.This course is offered to students enrolled in the Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies program only.
