Chile's Pathway to a Sustainable Future

Catalog description

This course will explore four components of sustainability. Namely global and local perspectives, urban sustainability, worldwiews including indigenous people and local communities' views on sustainability and effective conservation. You do not need any course prerequisites to take this short-term program. Sustainability, the ecology of global change and human well-being will be key topics of the course. By the end of the course, you will bridge different disciplines in sustainability, have experience creating dialogues and building collaborations. Using conceptual thinking, you will be part of a creative solution to an unsustainable problem of your choice for the conservation of biodiversity and human well-being. Dates: 3 weeks: Sunday, August 2, 2026 (arrival date) to Saturday, August 22, 2026 (departure date).
