Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Latin America

Catalog description

In this course we use the Chilean experience to study challenges and opportunities arising from the Latin American entrepreneurship and innovation eco-system. Sectors covered will include technology, services, marketplaces, retail, biotech, natural resources, and social innovation. In addition, we will discuss the public policy environment as well as the funding one. We will also pay attention to the impact on entrepreneurship and innovation of the recent political situation in Chile. The course will be organized in modules per topic, where a module will typically consist of a conceptual lecture, followed by an industry practitioner sharing her/his experiences. Guest speakers will include entrepreneurs, investors, academics, and policy makers.
