Catalog description

Designed to support Oceans PhD students in their first years of graduate study, this course is designed to acclimate students to the core elements of research papers and scientific articles. We will also touch on strategies for overcoming writer's block, setting and maintaining writing goals, the importance of clarity and concision, and the intersection of creativity and the sciences. We'll examine specific strategies and practices that facilitate productivity at various stages in the writing process and in different scientific genres. Required for first year Oceans PhD students.
