Catalog description

This doctoral seminar will focus on contemporary theory and research on authenticity in people, products and services. We will draw from work in multiple disciplines including sociology, psychology, anthropology, tourism, music, and philosophy. Students will read and discuss articles weekly, with regular class presentations. The course will culminate in a student paper reporting original insights and theory and research on authenticity. Limited to 20 students.
