Catalog description

This course combines lectures, classroom discussion, hands-on activities, and written assignments to explore the policy, economic, and regulatory dimensions of eVTOL technology and urban air mobility (UAM). Rather than relying on a traditional lectures format, class time often features active discussions and/or guest speakers from relevant companies (Archer, Joby,Wisk, BETA, Zipline, Wing), government agencies (e.g., FAA, NASA), consultancies (McKinsey Air Mobility team) and journalists shaping and tracking this emerging sector. Your final grade will reflect interim writing exercises, a final paper, and class participation.
