Social Problems

Catalog description

This course is an analysis of major social problems in the United States. Emphasis is placed on the causes of social problems, approaches to the analysis of problems, and the interrelationship of problems. Course topics include: crime, mental illness, poverty and inequality, family and marital problems, population and the environment. This course partially satisfies the writing requirements outlined in the General Education Requirements.
