Catalog description

This course introduces students to the relationship between leadership and policy and the organizational dynamics that influence the implementation of public policy. Students will experience all phases of developing policy, from identifying stakeholders and their competing perspectives, to determining factors that impact the sustainability of public policy. Emphasis will be placed on the varying leadership styles used to work with diverse groups and in one-on-one interactions for the purpose on influencing policy development, analysis, decision making, implementation, and improvement.<br><br>(Admission to Public Policy and Administration (Bachelor of Science) (PPA-BS) or Admission to Paralegal Studies (Bachelor of Applied Science) (LEGAL-BAS)) and Prerequisite PUP 3002 with a minimum grade of C and Prerequisite PUP 3040 with a minimum grade of C
