This course is designed to prepare the paralegal to assist in the more common types of real estate transactions and conveyances, such as deeds, contracts, and leases. Emphasis is placed on drafting problems involving these various instruments, and proper methods of recording, searching and closing. Topics include business brokerage operations, property law, deeds, mortgages, financing, taxes, planning and zoning, appraisal, real estate investment and market analysis, public housing, governmental regulations, ethical issues, and case studies of selected topics in agency and brokerage operations.
