Catalog description

This course is an introduction to medical terms and abbreviations utilized by health care professionals in patient care settings. It introduces the study of prefixes, suffixes, and word roots of medical terms and their meaning, spelling, and pronunciation. Topics also include medical vocabulary and the terms that relate to the anatomy, physiology, pathological conditions, and treatment of selected systems. Upon completion, students should be able to pronounce, spell, and define medical terms as related to selected body systems and their pathological disorders.<br><br>No Requisites Required
