Catalog description

This clinical practice allows the student to experience and practice generic health information management department functions in a simulated health information management environment. Topics addressed include typical workflow patterns; admission/registration processes; record analysis; management of standard health record documents; record filing and numbering systems; retention and retrieval procedures; and electronic health record (EHR) activities.
