<p>This course is a further articulation of the techniques and components of time-based media design. Exercises and projects emphasize basic concepts of art and design in time. Students use time and movement, elements of the moving image, serial, sequential, and narrative ordering, moving image editing, sound and image relations, as well as object and event analysis to create time-based designs. Students develop advanced skills in the creation of time-based media as an expressive and communicative art form. Aesthetic, technical, historical, and conceptual issues are addressed through lectures, demonstrations, exercises, projects, screenings, research, and readings.</p><br><br>Admission to Digital Media (Bachelor of Applied Science) (DIGME-BAS) and Prerequisite DIG 3293C with a minimum grade of C and Prerequisite DIG 2109 with a minimum grade of C and (Prerequisite GRA 1206 with a minimum grade of C or Prerequisite DIG 2284 with a minimum grade of C)
