<p style="margin-left:0in; margin-right:0in"><span style="font-family:Arial,Helvetica,sans-serif"><span style="font-size:11pt"><span style="color:null">This course is a discipline-related internship providing students with meaningful work experience in a chosen career field. The course is designed to allow students to learn on-the-job as part of their educational program of study under direct supervision of a senior-level Biomedical Equipment Technician (BMET) or clinical engineer. BMET Field Experience will allow students to serve as an entry-level clinical equipment support technician and to provide inventory control, minor repairs, and maintenance of medical equipment technologies, devices, instruments, and systems. This will allow students to utilize knowledge acquired in the classroom and laboratory to evaluate, troubleshoot and repair various types of biomedical equipment.
