Catalog description

<p>This course provides a theory of operation of direct current (DC) and alternating current (AC) motors. Major topics include&nbsp;motor components, forces, National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA)&nbsp;ratings, nameplate information, inverter and pulse width moderator drives, AC to DC rectifiers, and signal regeneration for 3-phase systems. Students will apply this knowledge during hands-on laboratory experiments.</p><br><br>Prerequisite EET 1035C with a minimum grade of C
