<p>This course is designed to address principles of learning and student development and their applications to learning/teaching situations. Topics include self-concept, motivation, views of intelligence, and assessment. Students will analyze teaching and learning scenarios in order to develop a repertoire of teaching approaches. This course emphasizes the interaction between the role of the teacher and the needs of students at various developmental ages and stages.</p><br><br>Admission to Prekindergarten/Primary Education (age 3 through grade 3) with Infused ESOL and Reading Endorsements (Bachelor of Science) (PKPED-BS) or Admission to Elementary Education (K-6) with Infused ESOL & Reading Endorsements (Bachelor of Science) (ELEDR-BS) or Admission to Exceptional Student Education (K-12) with Infused ESOL & Reading Endorsements (Bachelor of Science) (ESEDR-BS) or Admission to Educational Studies and Community Leadership (Bachelor of Science) (EDST-BS)
