<p>This course provides the fundamental background and theory for the safe and effective use of ionizing radiation as it relates to dentistry. It encompasses the history of x-rays, production and uses of radiation, dental radiographic techniques, exposure factors, interpretation of dental radiographs, and radiation protection.</p><br><br>Prerequisite DES 1020 with a minimum grade of C and Prerequisite DES 1020L with a minimum grade of C and Pre- or Co-requisite DES 1200L with a minimum grade of C
