This course is designed to provide students with classroom and laboratory experience to achieve professional certification as a Cisco Certified Specialist. Instruction includes identifying hacking methods and network security threats, device hardening, event logging, authentication, authorization, and accounting (AAA), Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), cryptography, Virtual Private Networks (VPNs), Internet Protocol Security (IPSec), and integration of hardware firewalls.<br><br>Prerequisite CET 2615 with a minimum grade of C or Prerequisite CCNA certification
