<p>This course examines the purpose, structure and&nbsp;operational details of the American criminal justice system through the lens of the most horrifying of all crimes-murder. Students will be exposed to the study of different types of homicide, theories of homicide and homicide law as well as details about how homicide cases are worked on by detectives and how murder cases are dealt with in the courts. The structure of law enforcement agencies and the court system, methodologies of evidence collection and its use in the process of criminal prosecution are detailed. Students take away a greater understanding of the use of law as a social tool and the courts as a solution to societal problems.</p><br><br>No Requisites Required
