<p>This course is an introduction and orientation to the educational, communicative, social, vocational, psychological and legal aspects of deafness. The course will deal with the impact of deafness on the individual and the family, as well as social patterns of the deaf community. In addition, it will describe historical and changing attitudes toward the culture of deaf persons and other groups of handicapped persons.
