It examines how political, philosophical, and technological developments have influenced the creation, distribution, and interpretation of literature since 1865. The course highlights a range of perspectives and experiences that have shaped American writing during this period. Additionally, students will be introduced to key schools of thought and major trends in American literary criticism.
