Catalog description
Students must participate in a laboratory- or field-based research project under the direct supervision of a faculty member from St. Mary’s University, or through and external research supervisor such as an REU program. Projects must incorporate the use of the scientific method, experimentation, data analysis, data presentation and interpretation, and the responsibilities of scientific integrity. To enroll in this course, the student must contact the Chair of the Department of Environmental Science and Sustainability and complete the necessary paper work in order to receive credit. Prerequisites: Student must have completed Fall semester of their Junior Year and have taken ES 2345 , ES 3110 , ES 3120 , ES 3310 (Fall/Spring/Summer). This is a writing intensive course.
