An in-depth exploration of how advanced technologies and data-drive approaches are used to optimize and automate manufacturing processes. Topics include smart manufacturing processes, modeling and simulation of manufacturing systems, process control and monitoring, the Internet of Things, data collection and analysis, and process automation using industrial robots and CAD/CAM software tools. (Spring) Prerequisites: EG1341.
