This course provides a comprehensive introduction to cryptographic principles and techniques. Topics include fundamental concepts of cryptography, symmetric encryption schemes, finite fields, number theory, and elliptic curves. Students will explore advanced cryptographic methods, including public-key cryptography, message authentication codes (MACs), hash functions, and digital signatures. The course also covers key management, secure key distribution, user authentication, and real-world applications of cryptographic protocols. Through theoretical foundations and practical applications, students will gain a strong understanding of modern cryptographic systems and their role in securing information.
