Catalog description
This course is part of the General Education Program and is required as a prerequisite for most psychology courses in the major. An introduction to basic principles of research in psychology, students learn about the scientific method, how to search for and evaluate research, and conduct simple studies to illustrate what has been learning in PSY 1100. Students also learn APA style and basic methods of analyzing data using computer software such as SPSS. A grade of C or better in this course is required to continue in the psychology major/minor program.
