This course provides students with a comprehensive understanding of securing essential systems that underpin national security, economic stability, and public safety. This course covers foundational cybersecurity principles, threat landscapes, and attack vectors targeting critical infrastructure sectors such as energy, transportation, healthcare, and finance. Students will develop technical, analytical, and professional skills to assess risks, design resilient architectures, and implement robust security controls. Through hands-on labs and case studies, students will gain proficiency in vulnerability assessments, network segmentation, access control mechanisms, industrial control systems (ICS) security, and incident response planning. the course emphasizes real world application using industry standard tools and align with regulatory frameworks such as NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), TSA Secutiy Directives, and CISA Guidelines. By the end of the course, students will be equipped to mitigate cyber threats, enforce compliance measures, and enhance the resilience of critical infrastructure against evolving cyber risks.
