This course is designed to provide interested students the opportunity to explore aspects of theatrical production and scholarship of special interests through research, rehearsal, and written documentation. This course will be examining Stage Management and would be a course for those pursuing theater and communications. Stage management is the organizational and coordination of a live theatrical production, from rehearsals to performances, ensuring all technical, creative, and logistical elements align with the director's vision. A stage manager serves as the essential communication hub between the director, actors, and all technical departments, managing everything from schedules and cues to props and set changes to guarantee a smooth and seamless show. This class will require students to attend rehearsals outside of class time.
