Catalog description
This course focuses on the common and specialized content knowledge emphasized in the teaching of and participation in select personal performance activites. In this course, students will be assessed on their knowledge and application of skills and their ability to seek personal challenge, while maintaining personal (and partner of group) safety in three select personal performance activities (e.g., In-line skating, indoor wall climbing, tumbling, etc.). Students will also learn to systemically analyze skill performances, structure appropriate practice sessions and provide congruent feedback to fellow participants. Activity-specific measures of physical fitness will also be collected during this course.
