Catalog description

This course focuses on the common and specialized content knowledge emphasized in the teaching and coaching of select games and sports. In this course, students will be assessed on their knowledge of rules, strategies and techniques of three select games and sports as well as their capacity to demonstrate competent motor-skill performances during game play. Students will also learn to systemically analyze sport skill performances, structure appropriate practice sessions and provide congruent feedback to students and athletes. Activity-specific measures of physical fitness will also be collected during this course.
