Catalog description
This course focuses on common and specialized content knowledge used in the performance and instruction of a variety of dance forms including aerovic, mixers, square and social dances. It is designed for beginning students with little or no previous experience in dance and will focus on exploring history and cultural meanings of dance, individual movement styles and dance as creative and aesthetic practice. In addition, this course will explorebasic kinesiological and physiological principles underlying dances as aesthetic practice.
