Catalog description

An essential course for an evolving time in public health's history. The advances, challenges and a myriad of events that are affecting public health currently call for informed leaders who can manage public health organizations effectively. Students will learn how experts in community-based prevenetion programs to those at the frontline of emergency preparedness navigate these incredible experiences. Conent will also include systems thinking, social entreneurship, social media and integrated information management. In addition, students will engage in an ethically sound, culturally responsive health education and promotion collaboration with local agencies, community organizers and other essential stakeholders.
