Catalog description

An examination of various leadership theories, styles, and systems-based practices in healthcare will be reviewed to develop awareness of strategies for leading the future. All pillars of Emotional Intelligence will be reflected upon along with joining the American Nurses Association to enhance professional nursing practice. Topics for discussion and reflection such as followership, change, time management, technology, decision-making, and effective communication will be included. Students will also be paired with a preceptor in an advanced nursing position for clinical experiences.
