Catalog description
This online course will offer Registered Nurses (RNs) a look at the theories that surround the profession of nursing in past and present while challenging students to connect practice to those theories. Students will research theories in nursing as well as other disciplines while working towards a better understanding of how theory and practice link. Professionalism will be emphasized through the review of the history of the nursing profession, current trends in healthcare, healthcare policy, and the vast roles nurses fill. Course assignments emphasize professional and academic writing and presentation.
