ADVANCED ADULT ASSESSMENT

Catalog description

Students will be challenged to further their knowledge of the nursing process and apply advanced assessment skills to gauge illness management. Students will learn about acute and chronic illnesses and strategies to promote health and wellness while balancing the demands efficiency has on quality care. Students will also practice self-awareness and self-management during discussions of spirituality and palliative care. Hands-on practice time to learn skills will take place followed by reflection and debriefing during some face-to-face classes.
