Catalog description

In Research Methods & Evidence-Based Practice, students develop the knowledge and skills necessary to be critical readers of research and to engage in evidence-based practice. Students develop knowledge of research design, research methodology, and ethics in research; develop the ability to efficiently locate and critically appraise research; and develop the ability to engage in evidence-based assessment and intervention through the integration of external (scientific) evidence, internal (data-informed) evidence, clinical expertise, and perspectives of clients and relevant others. Prerequisite(s): Admission to MS-SLP program; the instructor or student may seek an exception to the prerequisites via the program director.
