Catalog description

This course provides the learner with a comprehensive foundation in pelvic health practice. Students explore pelvic floor anatomy and function, breathing and core relationships, professional scope, trauma-informed care, and culturally inclusive communication. Emphasis is placed on developing confidence in addressing sensitive health topics, understanding ethical and consent considerations, and recognizing red flags that require referral. Students engage through a mix of asynchronous course content and live synchronous sessions centered around case-based discussions with interspersed knowledge checks, virtual opportunities for skill evaluations, and a culminating patient case-based analysis and presentation. Prerequisite(s): Residential/Hybrid Immersion/Flex: PHT 5540 , PHT 5526
