Catalog description

This course explores the principles of kinesiology, including biomechanics and exercise physiology, and their application in designing effective and evidence-based exercise prescriptions to enhance movement and function for individuals across the lifespan. Emphasis is placed on developing exercise prescriptions that address impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions in cardiorespiratory fitness, muscle performance, flexibility, gait, and balance to support the achievement of individualized patient goals. Offered: Subterm E Prerequisite(s): Residential PHT 5203 , PHT 5211C , PHT 5216 , PHT 5228 , PHT 5237 ; Flex PHT 5203 , PHT 5228 Students must successfully complete all courses in the previous term and subterm of the DPT program.
