Introduces foundational skills and techniques used in occupational therapy practice. These include infection control principles, assessment of vital signs, body mechanics, functional and community mobility, and the use of assistive devices. Students incorporate the use of therapeutic touch, communication, and interprofessional collaboration. Skills and techniques developed throughout this course are intended to enhance client engagement in occupation. Prerequisite(s): OCT 5135C
