Catalog description

Students integrate knowledge from the biological, psychological, and social sciences, humanities, nursing, and literature to achieve safe and competent pediatric patient care and outcomes for patients and their families. Topics included common pediatric pharmaceuticals, care of the well child, care of the ill child, related nursing therapies for children, pediatric assessment, health maintenance, and health promotion needs of the child. The clinical portion provides opportunities for students to deliver related nursing care in medical facilities, clinics, provider offices, pediatric facilities, and other related community agencies with the specialized population.
