Catalog description

This course is designed to build on students’ exploration in their 100-level Wellness and Physical Literacy course. Students select this course based on their Physical Literacy and Wellness Plan and strive to go in-depth with specific wellness subcategories and one to two movement areas of their choice. Net/wall games involve opposing teams or players that either share space or are separated by a net. Some net/wall games require use of a racket, while others do not. Content of the course includes engagement with physical and intellectual wellness through 1-2 student-selected net/wall games. The Sport Education instructional model is implemented. Students explore roles such as coach, official, player, statistician, and more.
