Catalog description

This course is designed to help students understand the knowledge and skills necessary to design, plan, implement, and evaluate special events. Topics include, for example, the planning process, creativity, scheduling, event formats, volunteer management, risk management, and identification of events throughout the recreation industry such as festivals, cultural programming, and esports. Special care is taken to provide students with practical opportunities where students can use their skills in live special events.
