Catalog description

The course is a culminating experience for students in the pre-professional athletic training major. Students integrate and synthesize prior knowledge and experiences with new evidence to deepen their wholistic understanding of the core educational experiences within their undergraduate program. Students investigate current issues related to physical activity, health and wellness, improvement of patient outcomes, problem-solving, problem-based inquiry, and self-assessment. Through analysis of their previous research-related assignments from multiple courses, students create a capstone scholarly project connecting general education learning outcomes to wellness and health and the future career path, athletic training.
