Catalog description

This course will overview prevalent theories and research on leadership in sport. Students will explore leadership from interpersonal, group, and organizational perspectives with a focus on their practical application. Students will consider and critically assess the practical utility of the scholarly literature for their sport leadership development and practice. The critical yet practical approach taken in this course will provide students with experiential opportunities to develop and hone leadership skills to support their capacity to effectively lead in a sport or other work environment.
