Community and Positive Youth Development: Adventure and Sport Contexts

Catalog description

This course teaches students the foundations of community youth development with a specific emphasis on developing systems that support connecting the work of discrete programs and organizations. Students examine the literature and theories to build comprehension of design and implementation of community youth development programs. Topics include, but are not limited to, the following: positive youth development, community youth development, outcomes-based curriculum design and program leadership.
