Catalog description

Through the observation and study of human performance from infancy through primary school age, students recognize and compare typical and atypical processes which may affect growth and development, learning, self-care, play/leisure, social interactions, and family functioning. Through lecture, class activities, and service learning experiences, students refine their observation skills, applying their interpretation of observations related to human development and how developmental expectations contribute to the evaluation and treatment planning process.
